MEET THE FOUNDER
Kelley Frey
Drawing on her extensive background in fashion retail purchasing and styling, owner Kelley Frey brings her expertise to Gray Clothier, a men's apparel and accessory shop located in Old Greenwich, CT.
For three decades, Kelley has successfully owned and operated women's fashion boutiques in Boston (Wish) and in Old Greenwich and Westport, CT (Fred). During this time, she identified a market gap for a clothing store specifically catering to men, especially the husbands of her female clientele. While women had many local shopping options, men had none.
This insight led to the establishment of Gray Clothier. With her keen eye for styling and inspiration drawn from her husband, a lifelong avid golfer, Kelley has crafted an aesthetic that appeals to men who favor a timeless, classic style suitable for any upscale casual environment. The shop offers a welcoming atmosphere for its male patrons, featuring sports-tuned TVs, a putting green, and various arcade and table games. Shopping at Gray is far from a chore — it's a favorite destination.
Kelley and her husband, Brad, are proud parents to Gillian (nicknamed Fred) and Grayson (aka Gray), along with their English bulldog Monty and French bulldog Poppins.
Gray Clothier was created for the modern gentleman.
